- We contract tutors to provide in person at home Maths tuition – Typically in 1 hour slots. All bookings are non refundable. After an initial welcome session, customers have the option to settle on a regular weekly slot, or to book adhoc grinds as and when they need them. For the regular weekly slots payment is due monthly in advance.
- The customer engages Induction Maths Academy to provide tuition. We then subcontract tutors to deliver this tuition. We pass all obligations and responsibilities on to the subcontracted tutor. Induction Maths Academy is not responsible for the conduct or actions of any of the tutors that we engage to provide tuition for customers.
- For the regular weekly slot The tutor will travel to you at your regular weekly time slot every school week. Unfortunately if you wish to cancel one of your regular at home sessions we cannot provide a refund. You can withdraw from the service at any time and if any sessions were scheduled within 7 days they will be charged at €20. All subsequent sessions will not be charged and a refund will be organised as required.
- All of our tutors undergo a rigorous recruitment process. It is still important to note that The parent i.e. the customer is responsible for supervision of the 1:1 at home tuition. As our tutors are providing a contract for service, this falls under what is known as a private arrangement for Garda Vetting purposes. This means that the responsibility lies with the parent to ensure adequate supervision of the tuition. As well as the tutor there must always be a responsible adult present when the maths tuition takes place.
- The tutor should be greeted by this adult, the adult should be within earshot of the tuition session. The tuition session should take place in a visible public place within the home. These are the responsibilities of the customer. If any of these protocols are not in place we instruct our tutors to end or not begin the session and unfortunately this counts as a cancellation by the customer and is not refunded.
- Induction Maths Academy at this moment in time cannot Garda Vet the tutors that we subcontract. As the Garda Vetting legislation only allows the vetting of employees. Parents should therefore proceed as if they have hired a tutor from a public flyer for example, and maintain adequate adult supervision at all times.
- The tuition should take place in a suitable location at home – that is visible and within earshot for the parent or other responsible adult.
